National Council for Women congratulates Egypt's Hala Zayed on election as chair of Arab Health Ministers Council

CAIRO – 27 May 2021: The National Council for Women (NCW) congratulated Minister of Health Hala Zayed on her election as the chair of the Executive Office of the Health Ministers Council at the Arab League for the second time in a row.

In a Thursday statement, President of NCW Maya Morsy said the election on May 20 indicates Zayed’s success in the previous term of two years especially at the time of Covid-19.

Former Minister of Solidarity Ghada Waly is another Egyptian female politician who was appointed as the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in 2020 after her successful career in the Egyptian government.
