Ecotourism
The measures include launching the initiative “Towards Green Development for the Tourism Sector” in 2020, in coordination between the Ministries of Environment and Tourism.
The project aims to achieve environment-friendly development in the tourism sector.
The training is part of the ministry’s project of protecting Migratory Soaring Birds, which comes under the auspices of Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad.
There are 16 ecotourism attractions in Egypt that are identified in accordance with the criteria set by UNICEF and UNDP.
A workshop to evaluate ecotourism in Siwa was May 17-18 held by the Egyptian-Italian Environmental ooperation Program (EIECP), which will last for three years.
