Bayram Al Tunisi
January 5 marks the passing anniversary of the pioneer of Egyptian vernacular poetry, renowned poet Bayram al-Tunisi.
The House of Arab Poetry "Beit el-Sett Wassila" is hosting poet Ahmed Abdel Moati Hegazy’s salon, entitled "The Sons of Bayram al-Tunisi", on the occasion of the 60th death anniversary of Bayram al-Tunisi.
On January 5, many important events took place that changed the map of the world. Many stars of art, politics, and literature were born on this day in various different fields, and many others passed away.
Tunisi passed away on January 5, 1961, leaving behind a great poetic and lyrical heritage.
