The Solar Alignment is a unique astronomical phenomenon that was created by the ancient Egyptians thousands of years ago inside the temples of Abu Simbel. It takes place twice every year on February 22 and October 22.
It occurs on December 21 of every year except for this year, when the time of occurrence of the phenomenon changes to December 22.
The phenomenon of the sun illuminating the temple on the morning of the twenty-first of December of each year is a unique astronomical architectural phenomenon.
The General Authority for Cultural Palaces concluded the activities of the Aswan Festival to celebrate the solar alignment phenomenon where the sun illuminates the face of the statue of Ramses II in Abu Simbel Temple.
