President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held on Tuesday a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Housing Minister Essam el Gazzar to follow up the progress of some under-construction housing projects across the country.
Up to 1,149 villas are being built in the city, he added. The minister also visited New Damietta City to inspect other housing projects.
The cost of the sewage plants is estimated at LE 8.1 billion ($462.8 million), the minister said, adding that the plants are set to serve about 8 million people.
The law aims at serving the interests of all sides in a better way, said the minister during a meeting meant to discuss the bill.
Asem al-Gazzar, the housing minister's deputy,was sworn in on Wednesday before President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi as the new housing minister.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected on Tuesday, Nov. 13 "Rawdat El-Sayeda" project (formerly Tal El-Akareb) in Cairo's El-Sayeda Zeinab district. Madbouli added that the project will be inaugurated in December.
Rawdat Al-Sayeda, formerly Tal Al-Akareb, covers about 7.5 feddans (1 feddan = 1.038 acres). It had been a slum area before the government demolished its houses.
Bicycle lanes, pergolas and seats, as well as lamp posts are already there, Madbouli said in a statement.
The new projects covering 1,057 feddans, will be set up in the first stage of the New Administrative Capital, Madbouli said in a statement by the Housing Ministry on Wednesday.
