On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister of Environment will hold a number of bilateral meetings to discuss issues and challenges facing the continent and enhance joint cooperation.
Between 2010-2022, the number of Africans affected by droughts amounted to at least 172.3 million, and the ones affected by floods amounted to 43 million, the Minister said.
The Conference will be held under the theme "Taking action for Environmental Sustainability and Prosperity in Africa"
