Inflation Rate
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the total urban areas of Egypt stood at 226.7 points in July, indicating a 0.5 percent inflation compared to a higher 1.8 percent in June 2024.
This is an increase from 30.6 percent which was recorded last month.
The annual urban inflation rate also hiked in July to 13.6 percent, compared to 13.2 percent in June, according to the state-statistic body’s data.
