The visit came only 24 hours prior to the country’s celebration of the fifth anniversary of June 30 protests that ousted former Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohamed Morsi.
The Armed Forces issued a statement Thursday morning, providing updates of the “Comprehensive Operation Sinai 2018” that launched in February.
Interior Ministry said Sunday it is able to monitor the situation in many border cities and is ready to provide assistance to forces there when required.
