The Fund said in a statement published on its website that the agreement was concluded last Wednesday, and was signed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Tarek Amer, and General Director and Chairman of the Fund's Board of Directors, Abdel Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Hamidi.
This came in the 15th edition of the Arab Economic Outlook Report, including updated forecasts for growth and inflation in Arab economies for 2021/2022.
The loan agreement was signed by Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, and Chairman of the Fund Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Hamidi.
This step comes in preparation for the launch of the "Beni" platform for Arab payments of the fund.
The Egyptian delegation to the conference will include the Central Bank of Egypt governor and the Minister of Finance.
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will deliver a keynote address on Tuesday to the delegates of the participating countries at the 9th International Conference.
More than 94 states and 119 international institutions will take part in the three-day event held under the auspices of the President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
