Cold weather
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a drop in temperatures across the country starting from Tuesday after a period of warm weather. Residents are advised to keep their heavy clothes handy.
Several separate areas of Greater Cairo witnessed on Wednesday light to moderate rains, along with a noticeable decline in temperature.
Egypt is expected to witness a wave of unstable weather conditions starting Friday February 18, until Sunday, February 20 according to the Meteorological Authority.
The EMA expects cold weather during daytime in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt.
Egypt will see a sharp decline in temperature as of Thursday, according to Meteorological experts expecting a cold weather accompanied with rainfall.
A very cold weather is expected on Sunday on the northern parts of the country, extending to northern Upper Egypt.
The high temperature in Cairo is expected to be only 19 degrees, while the low temperature could reach 11 degrees.
