“Egypt is keen to achieve this by upholding the social, living, economic and service rights of citizens, which is reflected in the National Human Rights Strategy that I was pleased to launch and follow up its implementation,” the President said,
“Our country has been able, during the recent period, to consolidate the most basic principles of human rights by providing a decent life for all Egyptians,” she added.
"On Human Rights Day, my thoughts go to Fariba Adelkhah and Roland Marchal, our compatriots held in Iran, and their families," Macron said on Twitter.
On Human Rights Day Egypt asserts the importance of upholding the values and principles of human rights, within the framework of the rule of law.
