Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry voiced great concern over the recurrence of crimes of burning copies of the Holy Quran at the hands of extremists, the latest of which was the crime that occurred while millions of Muslims were celebrating Eid Al-Adha Islamic holiday.
The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold, next week, at its headquarters in Jeddah, an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee to discuss the procedures for the repercussions of the incident of burning a copy of the Holy Qur’an that took place in Sweden on the first day of Eid al-Adha.
