Book of the Dead
Religious books buried with the ancient Egyptian man were usually used as a guide for the dead on his journey to the afterlife.
The discovered book is more than 4,000 years old and may be the oldest version of a book ever present.
Among the sold items was a papyrus that contains a text version of the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead which was sold at £1.35 million.
The Oriental Institute of University of Chicago will host an exhibition about Ancient Egypt’s Book of the Dead from October 3, 2017 to March 31, 2018.
