D8 Summit
Their call and discussions have been stated in the session on Palestine and Lebanon at the sidelines of the Cairo-held D8 Economic Summit on Thursday.
Sisi stated that the incidents in the Palestinian territories since October 2023 have surpassed all boundaries of international and humanitarian norms.
Egypt’s exports to the D-8 countries reached $3.1 billion during the first ten months of 2024, down from $3.7 billion during the same period in 2023.
“The global landscape is dominated by conflicts and wars, exacerbated by the rise of economic and trade protectionism and the prevalence of double-standards,” Sisi stated on Thursday, affirming that the persistent Israeli war in Gaza is a clear example.
Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Chief Advisor for Foreign Policy and Security Affairs Akif Cagatay Kilic are also slated to join the summit.
