The investigation authorities in Giza decided to imprison the owner of the sinking ferry for 4 days pending investigation on several charges that included manslaughter due to overloading and operating a boat without a license.

Egypt's Minister of Labour Hassan Shehata, announced Monday, disbursing LE 200,000 for each victim of the tragic ferry sinking incident in Giza. Other LE 20.000 will be disbursed for each injured person, from the accident by the Irregular Employment Department.
