African Peace and Security Council
Egypt will assume the presidency of the African Peace and Security Council on Oct. 1 for a month, said Mohamed Gad, Egypt’s ambassador to Ethiopia and its Permanent Representative to the African Union.
Egypt's permanent representative to African Union said on Thursday that Egypt has been elected to membership in the African Peace and Security Council (PSC) for two years.
This comes “as Egypt acknowledges its responsibilities to support peace and security efforts on our continent,” Sisi said in a speech at the 22nd Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Heads of State and Governments Summit.
He added that vaccination is available in health offices or through mobile medical teams, for children aged between one day to 5 years, and for non-Egyptian children who aged between one day to 15 years.
“Egypt has received about 150,000 Sudanese citizens to date since [the outbreak of the crisis in Sudan], in addition to hosting [already] about 5 million Sudanese citizens,” said President Sisi, calling on relief agencies and donor countries to provide the necessary support to neighboring countries.
