Egypt’s exports to Russia increased 32.8 percent year-on-year in the first 11 months of 2017 to record $464.8 million.
Exports went up 17 percent in August to stand at $2.17 billion, compared to $1.86 billion in the same month last year.
Egyptian exports to Russia edged up for the first time in three years to record $360 million in the first half of 2017.
The Ministry of Industry is yet to determine the total cost of the industrial project.
The news came as Kabil met country manager of IKEA Group, Adosh Sharma, to discuss the company’s plans for the Egyptian market
The trade deficit recorded $11.13 billion in the first half of 2017, according to official data.
The companies will be specialized in generating energy from solar and wind resources and manufacturing LED lamps.
The cooperation will focus on the industrial development of both countries.
The agreement aims to boost the entrepreneurial culture in both states.
