Palestinian Prime Minister Muhamad Mustafa praised on Monday, the ‘pivotal role played by Egypt since the beginning of the crisis in Gaza’, which comes within the framework of the continuous support provided by Egypt to the brotherly people of Palestine.
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh thanked Egypt for its efforts at the Rafah crossing.
Egypt and Palestine signed on Wednesday two documents, including one on political consultations between their foreign ministries and another in the field of agriculture.
Shoukry’s remarks were made in a meeting with his Palestinian counterpart, Mohammad Shtayyeh, on Thursday on the sidelines of the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to discuss the developments of the Palestinian situation.
Ishtayeh also hailed Egypt’s role in finalizing the Palestinian reconciliation as he met in Ramallah with outgoing Egyptian Ambassador Tarek Tayel on Thursday.
