High speed Electric Train
Chairman of the National Authority for Tunnels Tarek Gouely announced that the German company Siemens has completed the manufacturing of 12 trains for the first phase of the high-speed electric train line connecting Ain Sokhna, El Alamein, and Matrouh.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has urged immediately contracting with the German national railway company Deutsche Bahn (DB) to operate and manage the express electric train system in Egypt.
The project's 660-km first line includes 22 stations, with a designed speed of 250 km/h, the minister said.
