Zamalek eye revenge against El Geish

CAIRO-9 January 2021: Zamalek face El Geish on Saturday night in the sixth week of the Egyptian Premier League at Suez stadium. 

 

Zamalek players will have one eye on revenge as El Geish knocked Zamalek out of the Egyptian Cup semi-finals in December. 

 

Zamalek will miss their midfielder Ferjani Sassi, who arrived in Cairo on Friday after spending his vacation in Tunisia but he will not be available for the match. 

 

Hamid Ahadad will also miss the match after suffering an injury in the pre-match training session, according to the club's spokesperson Essam Salem. 

 

Zamalek collected 10 points from their first four matches and they hope to defeat El Geish to return back to the top of the table. 

 

On the other hand, El Geish hope for a reaction under the leadership of Abdelhamid Bassiouny, who was appointed the new coach of El Geish. 

 

Tarek El Ashry started the season with El Geish but the club suffered a poor start and lost four of their first five matches and they are on the bottom of the table with one point.
