CAIRO - 1 May 2020: Sergio Aguero, Manchester City’s striker, addressed the fear that the majority of the players have in regards to the possible return of the English Premier League.
Speaking to the Spanish TV program El Chiringuto, Aguero revealed that the majority of the players are scared by the possibility of resuming football in England too early.
"The majority of players are scared because they have family, they have children, they have babies, parents," Aguero said, as reported from Sky Sports.
It has been reported that the British government is set to discuss and review the lockdown measures next Thursday with the possibility that football players could return back to training in small groups soon, according to Sky Sports.
Also, Manchester City’s goalscorer [Aguero] addressed his fears from the disease saying that people who carry the disease and don’t have symptoms could infect others.
"That's why I've stayed at home. You can be infected and you don't know anything about it," Aguero added, as reported from Sky Sports.
Ever since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China during early December 2019, around 3,300,000 people were infected and about 233,000 people died because of the disease.
As a result, several countries such as Italy, Spain, and England decided to suspend their sports competitions.
