Amr El-Ganayni, head of the Five-members committee which manages EFA, wished to complete the Egyptian League competition for this season.
"I hope the Egyptian League competition will be completed till its end, and my hope is that this will happen," Al-Ganayni said in an interview with On Time Sports TV channel.
"I have put all the inputs in front of the committee to fully study the situation, when will this season end, when will the next season start and how long will it take to complete the competition," he added.
"And also the preparation period for the new season, and our goal is to complete the league competition."
Egyptian Football Association (EFA) board member, Gamal Mohamed Ali, that the EFA aims to resume the domestic football competitions and they are not considering cancelling the season.
"We need three months to finish the top division and two months to finish the lower divisions." Gamal told ONTime Sports on Wednesday.
Football-related activities, including fixtures of all Egyptian league divisions and age groups, are suspended since 14 March amid the spread of coronavirus.
Gamal added "Postponing International football and African competitions will help us to finish the season. Our last option is to cancel the season."
CAF postponed 2021 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers while postponing African club competitions is a matter of time.
Football competitions worldwide have been severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic as countries around the world try to contain the spread of coronavirus.
"But in the end, we are working inside a country that has its own decisions, so we are waiting for the crisis that the world suffers from, because of the spread of the coronavirus, to pass through." he said.
