Maldini and Dybala test positive for coronavirus

Paolo Maldini, AC Milan’s technical director, and Paulo Dybala, Juventus striker, have been tested positive for coronavirus.

According to AC Milan’s statement, Maldini and his 18-year-old son Daniel tested positive for coronavirus [COVID-19].

Part of AC Milan’s statement read as follows: “Paolo Maldini and Daniel are both well and have already completed two weeks at home without contact with others. They will now remain in quarantine until clinically recovered, as per the medical protocols outlined by the health authorities,” as reported by Goal.

On a similar note, Dybala became the third player from Juventus first team’s squad to be found positive for coronavirus after defender Danile Rugani and midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

Moreover, Dybala posted on his official instagram saying, “ Hi everyone, I just wanted to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana [Dybala’s girlfriend] and I have tested positive. Luckily we are in perfect conditions. Thanks for your messages.”

Ever since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China on 1 December 2019 around 304,000 people were infected and about 12,900 people died because of the disease.
As a result, several countries such as Italy, Spain, France, and England suspended their sports competitions due to the coronavirus being widespread among around 188 countries and territories.
