Marathon to celebrate 150 years of the khedive Cairo

CAIRO –7 July 2017: Cairo Governorate organized a marathon to celebrate 150 years on building the khedive Cairo. The marathon was organized by the governor of Cairo Ataf Abd el Hameed, Major general Mohamed Ameen the Vice-Governor of Cairo, plus district chiefs, district directorates and a number of residents of the capital.

The governor of Cairo said that the marathon came as part of the celebration of the 150 years of building the khedive Cairo and to encourage the residents to play sports.
Additionally, the governor awarded multiple participants as a support for their efforts in the marathon and their role of supporting the capital.

The marathon was not the only kind of celebration, last week there were events carried out by local artists, such as the Opera House, and the Music Institution in Cairo that took place in Abdin Square, El-Alfi street and El-Moez street.
