Sawiris Cultural Award ceremony postponed to April 2021

CAIRO – 3 January 2020: The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and the Board of Trustees of the Sawiris Cultural Award announced the postponement of the annual ceremony for the granting of the Sawiris Cultural Award, which was initially set to be held, at the Egyptian Opera House, on January 8, 2021.

This postponement comes in response to the decision of the Egyptian Cabinet, and in the interest of the safety of attendees and those invited to the ceremony, in light of the second wave of COVID-19.

The ceremony and the announcing of the names of the winner is re-scheduled to April 2021.
