CAIRO – 16 September 2020: Said Abdo, head of the Egyptian Publishers Union, said that the return of cultural exhibitions was a much-anticipated step, after the publishing industry was severely affected during the last period.
Abdo thanked Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem for this “wise decision”.
In statements he made to a television program, Abdo stated that publishers are eager to participate in book fairs to revive the sales movement, and soon the Sharjah International Book Fair will be held on November 1, followed by the Tunisian fair that allows the presence of Arabic books, marking the beginning of the movement.
