51st CIBF to launch digital application

CAIRO - 13 January 2019: Cairo International Book Fair will officially launch a digital application for its 51st edition.

The new application allows its users to:

-Search the database of books displayed in the exhibition and view book prices and general information.

-Browse the publishing houses and get to know their exact locations inside the exhibition.

- Choose a set of books to prepare for purchase and know their total cost prior to the purchase.

-Display all exhibition activities, venues, participating public figures and speakers.

-The application will be available on both Android and IOS devices.

Team Leader of Application Programmers Shaheer Shaheen said that the development work on the application has been completed and new features will be added, adding that publishers are still uploading their books. This process will be completed days before the fair.

A trial version of the app has been launched and the app will be launched in its final version before the official inauguration of the Cairo International Book Fair 2020, which will kick off on Jan. 22, 2020.
