Fierce competition in the 2019 Ramadan drama marathon

CAIRO – 17 December 2018: Famed actors Ahmed el-Sakka and Mostafa Shaaban will star in the film “Taranim Iblis” (Satan’s Rituals) in 2019. The film is written by Mohamed Sayed Basher and directed by Nader Galal.

The stars worked together in the film “Mafia” 16 years ago, achieving great success.
During the next Ramadan drama marathon, Sakka will also participate in the TV series “Weld el-Ghalaba” (Son of the poor), written by Ayman Salama and directed by Mohammad Sami.

The star will start filming at the end of Dec. 2018. Stars Karim Afifi, Mai Omar and Mohamed Mamdouh will also participate in the much-anticipated series.

Moreover, star Mostafa Shaaban will compete during the Ramadan drama marathon with the series “Beit Rady” (Rady’s Home) written by Mohamed Sayed Basher and directed by Ahmed Saleh.

The star is currently undergoing preparations for his new Ramadan series. The rest of the cast is yet to be decided upon by the producing entity.

In the same context, actor Ahmad Fahmy will compete during the Ramadan drama marathon with a series written by Mostafa Saqr and directed by Ahmed Gendy.

The series will be produced by Synergy Productions owned by famed producer Tamer Morsi. Actress Hana el-Zahed, Fahmy’s fiancée, will also participate in the series, their first drama cooperation.

Fahmy will also start filming his new film “El-Aref” Dec. 24, where the young actor will star alongside famed actor Ahmad Ezz. The film is written by Mohamad Sayed Basher.
Furthermore, star Mohamed Imam will compete in the Ramadan drama marathon in with his new series “Hogan”.

The series is written by Mohamed Salah and directed by Sherine Adel. The series is also the production of Synergy Productions.

Imam is still on the look for a female actress for the series. Also, Imam is currently filming his new role in the movie “Les Baghdad” (Thief of Baghdad) directed by Ahmad Mousa. Stars Yasmeen Ra'ess and Fathy Abdel Wahab will also participate in the film.

Last but not least, famed actor Amir Karara will prepare for his role as Selim al-Ansari in the third part of the series “kalabsh” (Handcuffs). The star has started filming the new role recently.

Karara will also participate in a new film named “Casablanca”, which he already started filming.
