‘Singin’ in the Rain’ will be screening at Alwanat Tonight

CAIRO – 31 August 2017: The American classical film “Singin’ in the Rain” screened at Alwanat in Minya on August 30.

Directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, the film was released in 1952. “Singin’ in the Rain” is a wonderful musical embodiment of the history of cinema. It reflects the turmoil that affected the industry in the 1920s.

“Singin’ in the Rain” is a timeless classic that showcases the transition from the silent screen to sound cinema, as well as the difficulties that came along for those working in the field.

It stars classical film icons, such as Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, Debbie Reynolds, Jean Hagen, Millard Mitchell, Cyd Charisse and Douglas Fowley, amongst others.
