CAIRO- The “Pictures from Gaza”’ documentary will be screening at Beit el Sura on September 15.
Directed by Tamer Ashry, “Pictures from Gaza” documents Ahmed Hayman’s photo journal in Gaza during 2010. It examines the everyday lives of the people who live there in a way that's never been seen.
Hayman has been practicing photography for years. He documents his travel journeys and creates photo series, such as “Liberation”, “Seeing without Looking”, “Like Drops of Water” and “A Nurse’s Diary”.
The screening will be accompanied by a talk that will discuss the stories behind the images and the journey of the photographer though the streets of Gaza.
Ashry is a young director who has done various short documentaries, including “January 28”, “The Seventh War”, “A Decent Living” and “Sexual Harassment in Egypt”.
