Within the framework of the activities of the New Alamein Festival 2024, which is organized by United Media Services, camel shows, and races as well as a large parade of camels will kick off today in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the United Media Services Company, and the Camel Federation.
The march begins from the Sidi Abdel Rahman area on the northern coast and ends at the beach entertainment area for the New Alamein Festival. About 50 camels and 100 members of the Egyptian Camel Federation will participate in the celebration.
The New Alamein Festival management decided to pay attention to camel sports after the Egyptian champions of camel sports made great achievements on the Arab and African sides in the past period.
The New Alamein Festival is organized within the framework of the strategy of United Media Services to launch national initiatives to highlight the urban development witnessed by the entire northwest coast region, most notably the city of New Alamein, and promote tourism in the city, it's charming beaches and moderate climate most days of the year as well as promoting investment opportunities in the northwest coast region and emphasizing the role of soft powers in supporting the state’s development efforts and developing various tourist destinations.
The UMS was keen to ensure that the agenda of the second edition of the New Alamein Festival included various artistic, cultural, sports and entertainment shows that suit the various interests of visitors and attract tourists of different nationalities.
The festival witnesses various activities, including artistic theatrical performances produced by the most famous producers and starring megastars and young talents and matches by legends and stars of football, basketball, volleyball, and padel tennis, as well as the Insomnia digital games competition. The festival also witnesses the launch of the Bites by the Sea event, which is a huge event for the best chefs in Egypt, which contributes to supporting food tourism for the first time on the North Coast.
