Samih Sawiris: ‘ Egypt is a long-standing country that has known civilization since ancient times’

 

The closing speech of the 18th edition of Sawiris Cultural Award was delivered by Engineer Samih Sawiris, founder, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Sawiris Foundation, in which he emphasized that Egypt, despite all odds, was and still is a beacon of culture.

 

 

 

He also added: "We hope that this award will continue to grow every year because we are proud of films that stemmed from the winner screenplays, and all the books that were translated into foreign languages because it is necessary for the world to remember that Egypt is a long-standing country that has known civilization since ancient times."
