CAIRO – 3 February 2022: Advisor to the Jordanian Minister of Culture Ahmed Rashid said that the Cairo International Book Fair is one of the most important cultural events, not only at the level of the Arab world, but at the international level as well.
Rashid praised the great effort exerted by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture to organize the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair, which is being held under exceptional circumstances due to the global pandemic.
Rashid added in a press statement Thursday that the Egyptian-Jordanian relations are historical, fraternal and extending for thousands of years at the official and popular levels. He also highlighted the close cooperation between the two countries' ministries of culture.
Moreover, Rashid pointed out that Jordan benefited greatly from the Egyptian experience in launching the Family Library, as the first Arabic version of the project was launched in Egypt and the second was launched in Jordan, which became one of the most important community cultural programs.
He further stated that Jordan is participating in the Cairo International Book Fair with many of the new publications of the Ministry of Culture, most notably books for youth and children, in addition to political, economic and social publications on the centennial of Jordan.
