CAIRO – 6 January 2022: Cinema El-Hanager in the Cairo Opera House will host at 6 p.m. the Documentary Cinema Salon, which sheds light on the contributions of foreigners to the Egyptian film industry in the period from 1920 to 1940.
The salon is managed by the pioneering director Ahmed Fouad Darwish and highlights the role of foreigners in the advancement of Egyptian cinema and the most famous names that rose during that period, including Stephen Rosti, Togo Mizrahi, and director of photography Alfiezi Orfanelli. The salon also includes an open discussion with cinema enthusiasts.
