Russian Cultural Center in Cairo organizes drawing workshop for Russian community in Egypt

CAIRO – 10 May 2021: The Russian Cultural Center in Cairo [The Russian House] organized, in cooperation with the Cartoon Memory Project, a portrait drawing workshop for cartoonist Hany Abdel-Gawad for children of the Russian community in Cairo.

This came on the sidelines of the exhibition "Russia in the Memory of the Egyptian Cartoon".

For his part, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt expressed the happiness of the members of the Russian community to participate in the workshop after their great admiration for Russia's exhibition in the memory of the Egyptian cartoon, which included historical works by various cartoonists.

Head of the Egyptian Association - Arab Union of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities- Sherif Gad stated that the success of the caricature workshop at the Russian Center encourages organizing the workshop in cities where large Russian communities reside, such as Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. This comes within the framework of joint cultural activities between Egypt and Russia.
