CAIRO – 24 March 2021: On March 24 at 6 p.m., the Supreme Council of Culture, in cooperation with the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, organizes the Poets Forum: Salah Abdel Sabour edition, with the participation of 200 poets of the Supreme Council of Culture and 17 culture palaces in the governorates of Egypt, in celebration of World Poetry Day.
The forum includes holding a large number of poetry evenings, at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Culture, and various culture palaces across Egypt.
The current edition of the forum bears the name of the late renowned poet Salah Abdel Sabour (1931-1981), as part of a number of cultural events organized by the Ministry of Culture on the 40th anniversary of the passing of the great poet.
The poetry committee of the Supreme Council of Culture, headed by Mohammad Abu al-Fadl Badran, agreed to the proposal submitted by the poet Sameh Mahjoub, a member of the committee, which includes holding a large number of evenings in parallel in the governorates of Egypt to celebrate the World Poetry Day.
