Sisi approves Egypt's accession to Tax Base Erosion Prevention Agreement

CAIRO – 4 March 2021: The Egyptian Gazette, published Thursday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision no. 446 of 2020 regarding approval of Egypt's accession to the multilateral agreement to implement measures related to tax agreements.

The agreement is related to preventing the erosion of the tax base and the transfer of profits, approved in Paris on November 24, 2016, and signed by Egypt on June 7, 2017.

Egypt also signed on the reservation document and the interpretative declaration that lists reservations and notifications specific to Egypt for the purposes of joining the agreement.
