CAIRO – 2 September 2020: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) signed Wednesday a contract with the consortium consisting of (HYOSUNG & TBEA ZONFA & TBEA HENGYANG), with a total value of LE 295 million.

 

The contract is for the construction of the Alex West 220/66/11 KV transformer substation project, in an area affiliated to the Alexandria and West Delta electricity region.

 

The company clarified that the project aims to increase future loads and improve the level of Voltage and load reduction for existing stations in Alexandria Electricity District.

 

Chairman of the company, Sabah Mashali, said in statements during the signing that the contract includes a contract for the construction of the Alex West transformer station project of 220/66/11 KV capacity (2 x 175 + 3 x 40) MVA.

 

She pointed out that the funding  of the project is from the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company's own sources, with an implementation period of about (12) months from the date of signing the contract.

 

She emphasized that such actions come as a confirmation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to strengthen the electrical network in the various governorates of Egypt, and within the framework of the huge efforts made by the electricity and renewable energy sector to develop electricity transmission networks in various Egyptian governorates within the plan to raise the quality of the electrical supply provided at the level of the Republic.
