Finance Ministry denies levying monthly tax on iPhone users

CAIRO - 24 June 2020: The Finance Ministry denied media reports that it plans to impose a monthly tax on iPhone users in Egypt.

In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry dismissed as groundless statements attributed to Finance Minister Mohamed Maait in this regard.

It urged citizens to verify the authenticity of reports related to the Finance Ministry before posting them on social media.
