Cabinet denies reports on salaries raise

CAIRO, March 28 (MENA) - The Cabinet media center on Saturday denied reports circulated on social media that the state decided to increase the salaries of employees, pay salaries of the private sector employees and issue tax exemptions.

The cabinet also dismissed reports about cutting down the price of oil products, increasing the amount of subsidized foodstuffs and granting a leave to employees of both the public and private sectors.

It described such reports as groundless and aim at spreading controversy within the community, adding that the state has already taken several measures that intend to alleviate the impact of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The Cabinet urged the citizens not to circulate any reports or data that are issued by any source except the official ones.
