ETA to receive payments in cash or by cheque nationwide

CAIRO- 27 March 2020: The Egyptian Tax Authority Friday said that taxpayers can pay their dues in cash or by cheque for income tax and value-added tax (VAT) at its branches nationwide.

The taxpayers will be exempted from administrative fees during the period of submission for the fiscal year 2019/2020, said ETA head Reda Abdel Kader said in a statement.

The move comes in line with the state's precautionary measures to halt the spread of the coronavirus.
