CAIRO - 26 December 2017: Egypt’s strategic vegetable oil reserves are enough to meet consumption needs for more than three months while sugar reserves are sufficient to meet demand for five, the supply ministry said on Tuesday.
Egypt also has enough locally produced rice to feed demand for the next 12 months, Supply Ministry spokesman Mamdouh Ramadan added.
Wheat reserves are enough to meet consumption needs until the beginning of the harvest season in the second half of April, Ramadan said earlier this month. (
