Egypt to buy 61,000 tons of cooking oil

CAIRO - 21 July 2017: The Public Authority of Supply has signed agreements to buy 61,000 tons of edible oil as part of a government effort to meet the needs of strategic commodities.

Under the signed contracts, Egypt will purchase 31,000 tons of sunflower oil and 20,000 tons of soybean oil, a statement by the authority said on Thursday.

The country will also buy 10,000 tons of soybean oil from the domestic market.
