CAIRO, Nov 20 (MENA) – Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir met Sunday with Liao Liqiang, the Chinese Ambassador in Cairo, to discuss means of boosting economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting took up efforts to ease obstacles that hinder an enhanced flow of inter-trade in the coming stage.
Samir hailed as “strategic” relations between Cairo and Beijing, stressing keenness on taking bilateral cooperation several steps further to be up to the level of strong bilateral ties.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry welcomes more Chinese investments in the Egyptian market, the minister affirmed, pointing to a bunch of incentives and advantages offered in the Arab country.
Samir assured that his Ministry is willing to solve any problems that might face Chinese businessmen in Egypt.
He also talked about the need to facilitate measures to export Egyptian agricultural products to the Chinese market.
Liao, for his part, said his country is seeking to develop cooperation with Egypt, which he called “one of the most strategic partners” in the Middle East and Africa.
The relationship between China and Egypt serves as a role model that takes into consideration interests of both peoples, the diplomat further said.
