CAIRO - 24 September 2022: The Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council said Saturday that the exports of chemical sector increased in the period between January and August to reach $5.714 billion, marking a rise of 31 compared with the same period last year.
In a report released, the council stated that the exports of fertilizer products registered $ 2 billion in the eight months, marking a rise of 53 percent in comparison with the same period last year.
While, the inorganic chemicals' exports witnessed significant increase of 120 percent to record $899 million compared with $408 million, while the organic chemicals' exports that recorded $165 million compared with $135.7 million in the same period last year.
Other products including inks and paints had witnessed increase also.
The Russian-Ukrainian crisis contributed to upping chemicals prices worldwide.
