ElSewedy Electric's subsidiary signs 2 contracts worth LE 1.15B with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company

CAIRO – 7 September 2021: ElSewedy Electric for Trading & Distributing, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric, signed two new contracts worth LE 1.150 million on turnkey basis for the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.

The company clarified that the contracts are to construct three substations in Central and North Sinai.

“The first contract worth LE 970 million to construct two substations WPS 1 & WPS 2-22/66/220KV capacity (3*175+6*40) M.V.A type gas insulated GIS,” the company clarified.

It added that the second contract worth LE 180 million to construct a WPS 3 substation 66/22 KV and a capacity of (3*40) M.V.A of the gas-insulated type GIS.

According to the announcement, the scope of ElSewedy Electric for Trading & Distributing includes –the design, supply, and installation of the entire project on turnkey basis to be commissioned within 16 months.
