Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards to take place in June

CAIRO – 31 May 2021: dmg events will launch The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards, in-person on 27 June 2021 at the Cairo International Convention Centre alongside The Big 5 Construct Egypt event.

During the inaugural ceremony, The Big 5 Egypt Impact awards will honour the people, organizations, and projects that are driving sustainable development, innovation, and transformation in Egypt's booming construction industry.

The company noted that Egypt’s construction sector has remained a top performer in the MENA region despite the COVID-19 impact with $15 billion worth of contracts awarded in 2020.

The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards launches to celebrate architectural, engineering and construction businesses’ contribution to sector’s growth, it added.

According to the announced data, the Awards received entries from over 50 businesses operating in Egypt - winners to be announced at The Big 5 Construct Egypt, 27 June 2021, Cairo International Convention Centre (CICC).

Vice President at dmg events, Muhammed Kazi has commented: “I am delighted to report that in its first edition The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards have received entries from over 50 leading architectural, engineering and construction businesses operating across Egypt.

The project market in Egypt has presented as a top performer in the MENA region despite the COVID-19 impact and we are excited to recognize the businesses and people behind this outstanding resilience.”

Across 19 categories, the awards will explore Egypt’s most outstanding construction projects and leaders. In addition, they will celebrate young construction professionals in the sector, and feats of inclusion and diversity, innovation and health and safety.

Entries will be examined against individual category criteria by an independent and international panel comprising of 16 industry experts. MENA Regional Manager at The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Matt Doran and awards judge and share this message:

Winners of The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards will be announced during a live ceremony on Sunday, 27 June 2021 at the Cairo International Convention Centre (CICC). The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards are organised by dmg events, and sponsored by Hassan Allam Holding, the Arab Contractors Company and Siemens Egypt.
