CAIRO – 6 April 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait launched Monday tax solutions technology company, E-Tax.
This came in the presence of Deputy Minister for Public Treasury Affairs, Ehab Abu Aish, and Deputy Minister for Financial Policy and Institutional Development Ahmed Kojak.
Maait said at the company launch conference, in the presence of the leaders of the Tax Authority, the Ministry of Finance and e-Finance, that Egypt, with its wise political leadership, is successfully implementing the national project to modernize and automate the tax administration system, which is based on the simplification, automation and standardization of tax procedures, which contributes to the facilitation of financiers, and restricting the tax community more precisely, achieving tax justice, integrating the informal economy into the formal economy, and collecting the state’s right.
According to the minister, this comes in a way that helps lay the foundations for an advanced tax system comparable to developed countries, in order to create an investment environment, expand the export base, and create more Jobs chances.
The Minister of Finance indicated that the E-TAX Company is a strong guarantee for the optimal management, operation and development of electronic tax systems, including: the service provider system for the electronic invoice, the electronic receipt, the unified portal of the tax authority, and field technical support for projects, and specialized services for taxpayers in the area of the tax system, consulting services and technological solutions for the real estate tax authority.
