CAIRO – 15 October 2020: Egyptian Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik has attended, along with the president, the graduation ceremony of new police officers from the Police Academy, describing them as a “new batch representing a promising elite of policemen”.
Tawfik said the new officers will participate with their older colleagues and work through day and night to establish security and stability of the country.
He also paid tribute to the policemen and army personnel killed during the October War in 1973.
Tawfik said that Egypt, in the term of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is moving forward in accordance with a roadmap to achieve development and prosperity and to rebuild the nation which had been threatened by conspiracies.
During the ceremony, President Sisi paid gratitude to the relatives of the police martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation and Egyptian people.
The graduation ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
Assistant Interior Minister and Police Academy chief Ahmed Ibrahim presented to President Sisi a model of the Interior Ministry with the police logo at the top of it.
