CAIRO - 2 December 2020: Sterilization works of mosques across Egypt are still ongoing as part of precautionary measures to avoid the spread of Coronavirus, said First Undersecretary of the Awqaf Ministry Gaber Tayea Youssef.
In his statements on Thursday, he assured that all coronavirus preventive measures are applied in all mosques.
He urged all preachers to commit to a 10-minute sermon in line with the preventive measures.
Muslim Friday prayer was suspended amid high infection and death rates of Coronavirus in Egypt. It was resumed in August only at big mosques that can maintain coronavirus preventive measures and receive worshippers.
